The Gates of Chester Station ….
We’ve all heard of Chester’s Eastgate, Watergate and Bridgegate dating back to Roman times. And the Newgate dating back to the 1930′s.
Chester has even newer ones …. (Poor picture taken using my mobile phone).
The refurbishment of Chester Station continues. They’ve done a great job on the concourse, the ticket office, Costa’s CafĂ© and separately Carriages Refreshment rooms. The road traffic area outside is dramatically improved. And now they’ve started on the island platforms, platforms 4-7.
According to the National Rail website Chester Station is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
So why these desperate gates straight off a building site?
Perhaps someone can enlighten us?
