In fact late night services are affected on Monday to Thursday for three weeks out of every six weeks: 1. For one week the 22.48 Chester-Altrincham train terminates at Altrincham for an onward bus to Piccadilly via Stockport. 2. The following week the 23.17 Piccadilly to Chester terminates at Altrincham for an onward bus all stations to Chester. 3. On another week the 22.17 and 23.17 trains from Piccadilly terminate at Greenbank for onward buses to Chester.
