Plumley – Are we sitting comfortably? ….
After many years with nowhere to sit down on the Chester-bound platform, we have a “new” bench installed.

The foot is there for perspective!
As you can see it’s an original railway bench, now returned to the railway. Very fitting for Plumley with its rather special station.
Plumley with Toft and Bexton Parish Council are delighted and will be celebrating at the station with a ribbon cutting ceremony, date to be announced.
Many thanks are due to David Longdon (the owner of the station building at Plumley and also at Mobberley) who provided the seat, Parish Councillors from Plumley with Toft and Bexton especially Sybil Crossman (Chairman) and David Nichols, Chris Ingham from Northern Rail, Sally Buttifant, our Community Rail Officer and ISS who securely fitted it.
We’re delighted. Well done everyone!
