An exciting new initiative is our Community Rail Officer, Sally Buttifant, developing walks from railway stations as a further attraction to the line. I’ve recently tested the proposed walk with Mobberley station as a start and end – it works well and is great for fresh air, countryside, our very historic church, two pubs and [...]

Wednesday saw the arrival of a Metrolink tram in Knutsford & Northwich stations (not really!) – here’s the Knutsford Guardian version. Sally, our CRO, says :- 10 Dec – here’s 2 photos of the Christmas event. We made decorations for the tree in a craft session led by Zone staff (2 MCRUA members who attended demonstrated excellent rosette and paper chain making skills!). We then decorated the tree (a scented Fraser Fir) which was donated by [...]

We received the following email on 8 December. ************************************************** Cheshire West and Chester Council’s statement of community involvement encourages applicants to hold informal discussions with the Council, statutory consultees and neighbours before applying for planning permission. This is considered particularly important for larger schemes, and/or when a number of different parties could be affected. Network [...]
