Plumley’s getting new steps ….

Here’s work in progress replacing the ricketty old steps from the road bridge down to the Up side (Manchester-bound) platform at Plumley Station. There’s some serious foundations going in here. Looks like they should last for the next 150 years! The finished job….

Sally tells us it was an excellent day at Greenbank last Saturday – CWAC, Weavervale, 3 local PCSOs, the Church, BTCV and 6 young people off the estate planted young trees including hazel, crab apple and blackthorn(?).
