JULY MUSIC TRAIN FROM CHESTER TO PLUMLEY 21st July 2010
Halfe Pannikin are playing and singing on the Music Train from Chester and at the Golden Pheasant pub in Plumley. The train leaves Chester at 19:07 and we return at 22:45.
Halfe Pannikin play mainly British traditional tunes and songs but also a few from western Europe, particularly Sweden. "We play a mix of melodeons, guitar, cuatro, whistles and recorders, flute, mandolin, bodhran, fiddle and octave fiddle and arrange many tunes to suit our combination.
The music train uses one of the regular hourly services on the Mid Cheshire line. There is no charge for the event - just the price of your ordinary train ticket - remember to ask for a Northern Duo if there's two of you; the second person goes half price!
Your 'admission' is the train fare. Other than drinks and food at the pub, there is nothing else to pay - though there is a collection for the musicians at the end.
