SEPTEMBER MUSIC TRAIN FROM CHESTER TO PLUMLEY 22nd September 2010
Root Chords, the Chester-based acoustic rock'n roll band, are playing and singing on the Music Train from Chester and at the Golden Pheasant pub in Plumley. The train leaves Chester at 19:03 and we return at 22:47.
Root Chords play blues, country and folk based music from both sides of the Atlantic on acoustic instruments but with the power and drive of rock. "That's why we're called the acoustic rock'n roll band." "We play the music we enjoy and we share our enjoyment with our audiences - in pubs, clubs, festivals and social events. We have a weekly residency at Alexander's in Chester and clock up another fifty gigs besides this each year."
Root Chords are well-known local performers at Alexander's in Rufus Court, Northgate Street, Chester. services on the Mid Cheshire line.
There is no charge for the event - just the price of your ordinary train ticket - remember to ask for a Northern Duo if there's two of you; the second person goes half price!
Your 'admission' is the train fare. Other than drinks and food at the pub, there is nothing else to pay - though there is a collection for the musicians at the end.
