Railtour "top and tailed" by Diesel Class 67s, 67010 (in Wrexham & Shropshire livery) and 67021 picking up at Manchester Piccadilly, Stockport, most stations Altrincham - Chester, then Crewe, then via the West Coast Main Line to Nuneaton, Coventry and Leamington Spa, setting down at Oxford, Bath and Bristol.

There was an optional coach trip from Bath to the East Somerset Railway for a return trip behind an industrial steam..

Over 480 passengers travelled on the Great Western Express.
