Day Trips on the Mid Cheshire Line

There are many places to visit for the day on the Mid Cheshire Line without changing the train.

You can enjoy a good day out at a very reasonable ticket price, particularly if you start after 09:00 and buy an Off-Peak Day Return ticket or a DUO.

Shopping towns and cities – Chester, Northwich, Knutsford, Altrincham, Stockport and Manchester

Museums – Chester (Military Museum, Grosvenor Museum, Deva Roman Experience), Northwich (Weaver Hall Museum, Anderton Boat Lift), Lostock Gralam (Lion Salt Works), Knutsford (Heritage Centre), Stockport (Hat Museum, Air Raid Shelters) and Manchester (Museum of Science and Industry, City Art Gallery)

The Great Outdoors – Delamere Forest (Delamere), Northwich Woodlands, Trent and Mersey Canal (Northwich and Lostock Gralam), Tatton Park (Knutsford), Dunham Massey (Altrincham)
