These are the main destinations possible from Mid Cheshire Line stations.

They can all be reached for a return trip starting after 0730 and giving you at least 5 hours at your destination.

Times and fares of trains are available on the Northern website or the National Rail website.

The fares to some destinations may seem high for a day trip but can be reduced by looking for:

     -   Off-Peak Return or Day Return fares – starting after 09:00 or 09:30
     -   DUO fares  -  starting after 09:00 or 09:30 and then searching for fares for 2 adults
                                travelling together
     -   Railcard fares
     -   Advance tickets
     -   Day Ranger or Rover tickets
     -   Special tickets at certain times of the year eg Arriva Club 55 in the winter months

If the main part of the journey is not by Northern but by another train company then try that company’s website eg Arriva Trains Wales to Cardiff, TransPennine Express to Glasgow and Edinburgh, or Virgin to London.
