Tornado departs South Parkway, Runcorn and Crewe ….

Posted on August 12th, 2010, by Vice Chairman

The Merseyside Tornado, hauled by A1 Pacific Tornado, will be the first steam excursion to depart Liverpool South Parkway.

The excursion to London in early October will also pick up at Runcorn and Crewe thus providing a unique opportunity for Mid Cheshire Rail Users.

The service has a high percentage of standard class seats along with Pullman Style Dining and First Class Plus service.

The site has some pretty good images!

Steam from Liverpool SP great. I have heard that the same outfit are considering using Chester Northwich Knutsford Alty as feeders for future steam trips. Hope that turns out to be true.

I travelled on HF Railtours Cumbrian Coast Tornado in April and their Cumbrian Coast Explorer in July. I had a great day on both occasions and I can highly recommend their tours. I have already booked on the Merseyside Tornado.

This tour has now been postponed to 24th May 2011.
