New Freight on the Mid Cheshire Line ….
Posted on October 20th, 2010, by The Chairman
Starting on 6 September last is this new freight flow of ballast from the quarry at Penmaenmawr to the engineering sidings at Guide Bridge. It runs 4 times a week, the contract with Freightliner being for 12 months.
It runs out to North Wales in the late morning peak, returning mid-afternoon. I saw 66619 on it on 11 October at Hale around 0840. Its times through Cuddington are around 0900, with the loaded train returning around 1540.
Thanks to David Miller & Andrew Macfarlane for this item.

My two boys both love trains and enjoy taking photos of them and writing down the numbers and are both on cheshirerail, which gives members a chance to post their sightings and photos.
