Posted on October 2nd, 2012, by The Chairman

We (Friends of the Mid Cheshire line) WON the Outstanding Team category at the National Community Rail Awards last Friday evening in Swindon for all the work that our volunteers and partners did for North West in Bloom 2011 when the line was awarded a level 4 “Thriving” certificate for our efforts. We have a stunning trophy for our efforts. AND ….

We (the Community Rail Partnership) won “Highly Commended” for the category of Best Marketing Publication for the Mid Cheshire Line promotional video – Manchester to Chester in 4 mins 40 seconds.

Together, it’s some time since won anything like these.

Special congratulations go to our Community Rail Officer, Sally Buttifant as well as all the volunteers and rail staff who help with these and many other projects.

Recognition indeed!

(plus, Sally’s team at her home station of Ellesmere Port also won “Highly Commended”. Wow!)
