Email the Chancellor by 17 October 2014!! ….

Posted on October 14th, 2014, by The Chairman

We have received the following through “Campaign for Better Transport”.

(Please note responses can be sent direct to Government or through the template provided by Campaign for Better Transport – see below).

“The Chancellor of the Exchequer is asking people to email him with suggestions for what spending commitments he should make in his Autumn Statement on 3 December.

“This is a huge opportunity, so please take a couple of minutes to urge him to support better transport.

“We expect the Chancellor to use the Autumn Statement to announce big spending on new roads, but we must show him that people care more about public transport, cycling and walking. Coming only 6 months before the General Election, George Osborne must be reminded which things really matter to people. Good transport supports people, the environment and the economy – and the Chancellor must get it right, or risk missing opportunities and making life harder for millions.

“Please respond to the Government consultation – we’ve set up a template to make it really easy and quick for you here. The deadline is this Friday, 17 October.

“It is vital that as many people as possible to tell him their ideas, so please take this action and pass it on to your friends!

“Thank you for helping us to improve transport for everyone.
