MCRUA’s AGM and Speaker – Tuesday 14 July 2015 ….

Posted on July 7th, 2015, by The Chairman

We’re looking forward to our coming AGM next Tuesday evening.  It’s at 7.30pm in the Conservatory at the Golden Pheasant, Plumley, just 5 minutes walk from Plumley Station.

Once the formal procedings are over, we always have a speaker.  This year it was to have been Peter Brunskill, Warrington Council’s Rail Officer.  However, Peter is now unable to join us, and Gerard Rhodes, Rail Officer with Chester West & Chester Council (CWaC) has at short notice kindly agreed to take Peter’s spot.

Gerard will speak for 20-30 minutes on Rail Developments from CWaC’s perspective with particular emphasis on Rail North, refranchising and especially in relation to the Crewe-Liverpool and Mid Cheshire Lines.  This will be followed by a question and answer session.

We hope you can join us.  Non-members are welcome to attend, so long as they don’t take part in any voting at the AGM!
