This is a modern interchange station serving the Crewe to Liverpool Lime Street line, the Hunts Cross to Liverpool Central and Southport line operated by MerseyRail, and the Cheshire Lines route to Warrington, Manchester, Manchester Airport and Sheffield.
It was designed to be eco-friendly with a sloping roof that collects and recycles rainwater, and a wall fitted with solar panels to contribute towards the building’s energy needs. It has won a number of awards for its design and building techniques.
This station is the place to change if you want to travel between Warrington and Acton Bridge, Hartford and Winsford. It also serves Liverpool John Lennon Airport via a bus link which takes about 10 minutes.
